Devotions upon Emergent Occasions
"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. "Kimse bir ada, tek başına bir bütün değildir. Herkes anakaranın bir parçası, bütünün bir bölümüdür. Deniz bir parçacık toprağı alıp götürse, Avrupa eksilir. Deniz burnu aşındırırsa, arkadaşlarının ya da senin toprakların aşınmış demektir. Her ölüm beni eksiltir, çünkü insanlığın bir parçasıyım ben.
Bundan dolayı hiçbir zaman çanlar kimin için çalıyor diye sorma.
